Position Description: The Department of Finance and Economics in the McCoy College of Business Administration anticipates one tenure-track assistant professor position in finance, effective Fall 2019. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses; conducting research leading to scholarly publications as recognized by the McCoy College in finance; and providing service to the students of Texas State University, the department, the college, and the profession.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in finance from an AACSB-accredited university by the time of appointment.

Candidates must demonstrate a track record of quality research, and superior teaching effectiveness at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications

Though candidates in all finance-related areas are welcome to apply, preference will be given to candidates with an expertise in corporate finance, investments, international finance, and financial markets and institutions; especially candidates with a capability to teach these courses at the graduate level, and with the ability to integrate data analytics into and across the curriculum.
