NURSING ACADEMIC PROGRESSION COORDINATOR
Chesapeake College invites applicants to apply for a twelve month nursing staff position beginning July 2018.
Responsibilities: The position is a NSP II grant funded full-time position responsible for coordinating all aspects of academic progression within the program. Retention responsibilities are integral to the role and include ongoing monitoring of student academic progress, developing enhanced learning plans, implementing workshops, organizing tutoring activities and preparing students for success on the NCLEX exam. The position also includes responsibility for pivotal functions that assist the associate degree nursing graduate continue their nursing education at the baccalaureate level or higher.
Required: Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Maryland, holding a Baccalaureate and Master’s Degree in Nursing. Minimum of four years’ experience in nursing practice. Strong communication skills with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
