Posting Summary:
The Department of Public Health Sciences at the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia is currently seeking a motivated public health professional to act as a research and public health education specialist to support the MPH student research and student affairs projects. Specific tasks would include coordinating and implementing intervention activities, data management and analysis, curriculum development and adaption. This is a restricted position contingent on grant funding.

A Master's degree in public health is required by appointment start date. At least 3 years of research experience is required. Experience gained as a student will be considered. Experience with community-based research and grant funded projects are preferred. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to follow instructions is a must. Excellent communication skills. The ability to understand knowledge of evaluation and population, health data analysis is important. Knowledge of computer software, including Word, Power Point, and Excel is expected. Proficiency with SAS or GIS, and conducting simple statistical analyses is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
