Job Description Summary:

The Dept. of Anatomy & Regenerative Biology is seeking an Program Coordinator.
This position will serve as an administrative extension of the Department Chair and Department Administrator for the Department of Anatomy.

Specifically, the position requires the knowledge and skills for the coordination, development, and implementation of administrative policies; the planning and coordination of department academic programs, external special events, procurement, budgeting and oversight of fiscal activities for department endowed funds, intramural and external awards management under the guidance of the principal investigator and departmental administrator. These responsibilities will facilitate and support the research and teaching success of the department, its chair, principal investigators and research staff and will advance the department's mission.

Duties include:
-Participate in the planning and coordination of department academic program
-Provide administrative support to all Anatomy Course directors and teaching faculty which includes uploading teaching materials in blackboard for the MEDEd program, in close coordination with OME, GCATS & Mats program, as well as our undergrad minor in Anatomy program.
-Classroom scheduling
-Preparation of reports and projections regarding Department and Masters Program at the request of the Fiscal Manager and Department Chair.
-Procurement of department and office and lab supplies, and resolves any issues related to procurement.
-P card & expense report reconciliation (via concur expense reporting)
- Inititate faculty and staff reimbursements via concur in compliance with University policies and procedures
- Maintain shadow worksheet for reimburssements expenses for procured.
-Plan, organize, coordinate, and promote other departmental, school of medicine, and/or university-wide activities like special events, meetings and seminars.
-Maintain Anatomy Department website; maintain personnel, faculty, student and external partner listservs for dissemination of relevant information, policy changes and relevant communications
-Performs other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.
2. Progressively responsible professional experience in general business administration or administration of academic research programs .
3. Proficiency with personal computers to include spreadsheet and word processing applications is necessary.
4. Ability to work under own initiative, under pressure to meet deadlines and to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demands.
5. Strong communication, organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills are necessary.
