Job Description:

SUMMARY

Oversees and manages the organization, administration, periodic review, planning, development and general effectiveness of the Job Link Services Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Oversees and manages the Job Link Services Program including all outreach activities and events
  • Oversees and manages all placement activities and goals to include participant placement into internships and program graduate placement into regular employment
  • Prepares and administers budget
  • Serves as a liaison between the College and business and industry partners
  • Conducts labor market research for employment opportunities in Northeast Ohio
  • Tracks and monitors results of outreach and recruitment plan
  • Conducts/facilitates job readiness, soft skills and career-related workshops
  • Interfaces with program faculty to ensure smooth program delivery and quality interaction with students
  • Resolves complaints and sensitive issues with staff and the public
  • Markets program and recruits students
  • Coordinates Advisory Committee and all program admission activities
  • Provides input for outcomes assessment and program objectives
  • Develops and maintains effective communication with prospective applicants, students, graduates, faculty, and community
  • Promotes and maintains effective communication, positive working relationships and good public relations with all levels of contacts
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Bachelor's Degree
    • Significant related experience may substitute for education
  • Minimum of six years of demonstrated experience conducting outreach and recruitment to students, individuals and/or companies for engagement of services
  • Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department
  • Demonstrated experience forecasting, planning, maintaining, preparing, and monitoring a business area's budget
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of LMI theories, concepts and practices with the ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and MS Project
  • Ability to complete work assignments independently
  • Demonstrated intermediate project management skills
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess strong organizational, time-management skills, and is results-oriented
  • Possess strong commitment to providing excellent customer service

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
