Director of Employee Development
The Director of Employee Development is responsible to the Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations for providing leadership and direction to the Employee Development department. This includes general management, supervision, and professional leadership that focuses on supporting the college's administrative and support staff by providing training on college standards, administrative systems, software applications, web portal, compliance training, and general college initiatives.
Supervise and evaluate the Employee Development staff.
Provide leadership to the Employee Development staff in planning and coordinating the development of training programs and professional development opportunities for administrative and support staff including the creation of content, presentation and delivery of training.
Develop and implement short-term and long-term training and professional development goals and objectives that are consistent with the mission of the college.
Ensure training courses and materials support the organizational goals, strategies, Vision, Mission and Values of the college.
Frequently review and adjust content to reflect changes in products and college procedures.
Provide leadership for development of supervisory training for new and experienced supervisors starting with assessment of training needs and multiple tracks of delivery to meet the diverse levels of supervisory experience at the college.
Acts as an internal consultant to all levels of administrative and support staff in order to resolve complex/critical employee development issues and effectively communicate employee development as a college priority.
Provide leadership for the monthly Administrative In-Service program. This involves schedule, program, content, mission development, etc. Develop metrics to measure the satisfaction, relevance, etc. of the administrators.
Work cooperatively with the Human Resources Department including assisting with New Employee Orientation.
Serve on college committees as assigned by the Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations.
Assists the Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations with the preparation of internal and external annual reports.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations.

Position Qualifications: Master's degree required.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in employee development, preferably within education.
Minimum of three years of high-level supervisory experience required.
Appropriate/relevant professional certifications and demonstrated knowledge of administrative systems required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications required.
Strong written and oral communication skills required.
Excellent project management skills required.
Must possess strong problem solving abilities.
Must have ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff.
