Job Description Summary:

The Office of Medical Education (OME) serves as the centralized office committed to developing, delivering and evaluating curriculum for both pre-clinical and clinical medical education. The OME includes staff and decanal faculty and supports faculty, students and curricular committees. The primary purpose of this Program Assistant, Course Support position is to provide executive administrative support for the curriculum in the Medical Degree (MD) Program. This role will also provide general support for other aspects of the MD program that are overseen by the Office of Medical Education.

Duties include:
• Provide administrative and technical support for block directors to help organize and distribute course material to students using the Blackboard educational platform.
• Provide administrative support for the coordination and scheduling of faculty and guests performing lectures.
• Communicate with dozens of faculty members about each of their sessions. Support faculty in distributing session materials and course work to students.
• Oversee student attendance and coordinate scheduling and tracking of make-up assignments.
• Provide administrative support for the director of the TALKS elective.
• Serve as primary contact for medical student questions regarding the TALKS elective.
• Manage the TALKS elective requirements and student attendance.
• Serve as exam proctors and support student exam review sessions.
• Provide administrative support for miscellaneous medical education activities, including faculty development sessions, inter-professional education sessions, and intersessions.
• Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
• Familiarity with Blackboard
• Experience working on various projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
