The Point Solutions (PS) System Analyst will work with University customers and IT to provide business solutions utilizing IT services and products. Some solutions may involve collaborating with vendor provided support. The PSS System Analyst will provide project support, technical consulting, problem solving, system modifications and support including, but not limited to: documentation, technical communications and systems management. The PSS System Analyst reports to the Sr. Business System Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:
•Ensures that supported information systems meet organizational mission and objectives and coordinate the process of defining, investigating and solving problems related to business systems and special projects.
•Advises users requiring assistance in solving problems or issues regarding management and business systems.
•Work with end users to determine current and future business requirements.
•Helps identify and investigate source systems.
•Creates test scenarios to support troubleshooting efforts.
•Develops and customizes reports to meet business requirements.
•Analyzes information needs through user interviews to clearly define requirements/problems.
•Develops and implements application documentation and user training materials.
•Provides post implementation support of user questions and fine tuning of application.
•Maintains communications with management and users during project development or maintenance cycle.
•Maintains knowledge on current computer hardware and software technology.
•Participates in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills, communications skills, business knowledge, and knowledge of information systems products and procedures.
•Other duties as assigned.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Solid computer skills.

Education Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.

Work Experience Requirements
•One year of experience required.
•Systems analysis or project related experience.
•Any appropriate combination of relevant information technology education, certification, and/or work experience will be considered.
