Assistant Director of Enrollment Communications and Marketing
Rockhurst University is currently seeking an organized, creative, and driven Assist Director of Enrollment Communications and Marketing for the University.

This position will collaboratively manage the development, implementation, and analysis of recruitment and enrollment communication and marketing strategies and tactics. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Under the direction of senior leadership, assist in the development and implementation of undergraduate and graduate enrollment communication and marketing plans across print, email, web, text message, and social media channels.
  • Collaborate with admissions, public relations and marketing staff on comprehensive project management timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work with admissions and enrollment staff at all levels to interpret and develop specific project needs, articulate those needs in the appropriate marketing context, and create creative briefs, copy, and design drafts for print publications, emails, letters websites and social media.
  • Collaborate with CRM administrators on campaign list production and management; providing needed prospective student data to admission personnel, mail centers, academic divisions and other offices as needed for enrollment communication purposes. Work with respective constituencies to define needed list segmentations and to maintain record quality control.
  • Manage and execute campaign communication sequences for prospective students, parents, educational partners, and special populations such as freshman, transfer, graduate, non-degree seeking and international students for all stages of the recruitment, admission, and new student enrollment process.
  • Serve as a representative for Enrollment Services on cross-university projects and work with units such as Public Relations and Marketing, Computer Services, Mail Services, Institutional Effectiveness, Student Development, etc.
  • Collaborate with the office of Public Relations and Marketing on consistency of messaging, branding and design for enrollment communications.
  • Review and gather internal approval for brochures, mailings, emails, websites and other publications. Ensure accuracy of content and consistency in messaging strategy.
  • Assist with the development, testing and implementation of email campaigns and web forms as related to information gathering and/or campus visits and event registration.
  • Coordinate material requisition and routing; track material inventory and supply needs.
  • Manage student workers who assist the Enrollment Office with print publications and inventory management.
  • In collaboration with senior leadership, analyze campaign effectiveness at both the campaign and individual student level and identify actionable conclusions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of project planning and management
  • Knowledge of commercial marketing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, desktop management, and online collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems preferred, but not required. • Knowledge of Adobe Create Suite preferred, but not required.
  • Skill in writing, editing and other aspects of media publications works.
  • Skill in planning, organizing and coordinating activities.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Skill in computer management and utilizing technology to improve processes.
  • Skill in planning and implementing communications programs.
  • Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Skill in composing, editing and proofreading written materials.
  • Organizational skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field AND 1 year of relevant experience; OR,
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
