Visiting Professor, Math Sciences
Bentley University's Mathematical Sciences Department has very successful programs in the graduate school (MS in Business Analytics) and the undergraduate school (majors in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, and a new major in Data Analytics as of Fall 2018). To support research and teaching in these areas, we seek a visiting faculty member for the 2018-2019 academic year with expertise in statistics, operations research, or a related field such as data science.
Visitors are invited to give a talk in the department's seminar series on one of their recent research projects. Collaborative research with existing Bentley faculty inside or outside of the Mathematical Sciences Department is welcome during your stay with us, and beyond. The teaching load is two sections per semester.
Ideal candidates will be able to teach one or more of the core courses in our graduate program (see
https://catalog.bentley.edu/graduate/programs/mba-ms-programs/ms-business-analytics/) or a variety of undergraduate statistics or data science offerings (see https://www.bentley.edu/academics/departments/mathematical-sciences/undergraduate-courses).
• PhD in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field
