Position Summary: The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, founded in 1975, is one of 47 National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country. The Center's mission is to reduce cancer occurrence and death in North Carolina and the nation through research, treatment, training, and outreach. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the administrative infrastructure for the rapidly growing Immunotherapy and Genomics Programs of the LCCC. The position will be responsible for all strategic planning, financial management, personnel task oversight and research administration activities for these programs. The position will also oversee the implementation of new business processes and systems, prepare budgets, partner with staff assigned to immunotherapy, and ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations. The position will be responsible for the administration of the program's combined $10M+ sponsored research portfolio. Additional responsibilities include coordination with other LCCC and University stakeholders to help identify and attract new sources of commercial and philanthropic investment. Reporting to and working closely with the Associate Director, Finance Administration, this position will also be responsible for developing & testing pilots for new business processes that can be successfully implemented across LCCC to support current transformation and modernization initiatives across the University as well as ensure continued compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations.

Education Requirements: Master's degree in business administration or related degree.

Qualification and Experience: Five to seven years of experience building and managing teams, managing large and multiple-PI research grants, strategic planning, financial management, operational leadership, and research administration.
