Minimum Education/Experience: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of experience in the area of specialization.

Job Duties: The nursing supervisor works in collaboration with the Principal Investigator to coordinate and implement assigned multiple and/or complex clinical research studies in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Responsible for submission of related documents to the appropriate regulatory review committees and maintenance of regulatory files. Performs day-to-day activities related to clinical research studies including: recruit and screen participants, obtain informed consent, educate participants regarding study requirements, and complete case report forms (CRF). Conducts nursing assessments of participants including appropriate reporting. Documents, records and assimilates accurate participant records and study records to ensure documentation compliance with sponsor guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOP) and internal and external regulatory agencies. Establish and maintain communications with Investigator and internal constituents. The Nurse Supervisor will be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team and be expected to work positively in a team environment. The selected candidate will interact with primary care providers, and other learners on a daily basis to teach geriatric assessment and method of utilizing screening tools. In addition, the selected candidate will serve as an educator for the patient population and other family members regarding preventative health measures, disease, and disease management. The Nurse Supervisor will also be responsible for coordinating and supervising other nursing staff on the project. The selected candidate will need a flexible schedule to accommodate after normal business hours and weekend appointments that may be up to 8 hours.
