The UNT Career Center is the centralized career office responsible for the career development and employment of all UNT students and alumni. It has responsibility for all Student Employment, Internships, and Post-Graduate Employment of UNT students.

Job Description
The Career Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Senior Associate Director, Career Services to join our team.

Responsible for assisting the senior leadership of the Career Center with departmental budgeting, personnel management, and program development. Work includes formulation of department operational goals, policy development, and staff supervision. This position has the authority and autonomy to make significant choices and decisions in regards to the daily operations of the office, without specific guidance or direction, and conducts short-term planning to anticipate and solve a wide range of complex multi-disciplinary matters.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Assists senior leadership with the development of departmental policies and procedures while providing administrative leadership in the coordination, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive career development, internship, employer relations, and student employment programs and services.
* Along with the Associate Directors, leads the development of short-term goals for assigned office.
* Assists in the development of office budgets, and responsible for the operational budget for assigned office.
* Manages a team who is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned office while also assisting with recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of those staff.
* Collaborates with senior leadership in interfacing with college faculty and staff, as they seek opportunities for their students concerning employment and career related issues.
* Serves on university committees and councils, as well as on regional and national organization committees and councils as directed.
* Serves as a Campus Security Authority under the Clery Act and a Responsible Employee under Title IX.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Extensive knowledge of career advising and development.
* Knowledge of university operations, policies, and procedures.
* Working knowledge of computer technology and applications in the career services field.
* Ability to deal tactfully with students, individually and in group situations.
* Excellent presentation and counseling skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to supervise, train, and plan work of subordinates.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Masters Degree and 7 or more years of experience in Career Services office and/or experience in Human Resources or College Recruiting.
* Management experience is desired.
