Responsible for providing operation, maintenance/repair and management of building utilities; operate utility equipment; monitor systems for normal running conditions. Regulate equipment operations and conditions; respond to system or unit abnormalities, diagnose the cause, and recommend or take corrective action.

Position Details
The Facilities Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Building Utilities Operator to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repairs to building mechanical systems, i.e. pumps, valves etc.
* Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repairs to HVAC systems and related equipment. I.e. air handling units, filters, cooling towers.
* Maintain comfort levels in a building environment through the computerized building automation system.
* Startup/shut down major building equipment. I.e. Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers.
* Perform minor plumbing and general building maintenance duties, i.e. replaces washers, faucets, sinks, clear toilets and drains, sump pits, and replace burnt fluorescent tubes and incandescent lamps.
* Perform all types of general building maintenance and repairs as required.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
