Department Administrator Associate

Job description

The Office of Research within the College of Pharmacy is seeking a Research Office Administrator who will assist the Associate Dean of Research (ADR) in meeting the college's mission and strategic plan for research initiatives.

The position will serve as a liaison with OSPA, PDO, SPA, the college business office and other college research offices. The selected candidate will provide individualized consultation to the ADR and faculty with a variety of research proposals, external grant initiatives, pre-award processes, and compliance issues.

Additionally, the selected candidate will identify funding opportunities as aligned with the college's strategic initiatives. Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining various databases, providing various reports regarding research metrics, and managing symposia and other research office events.

The Research Office Administrator will have a key role in developing SOP's, policies and procedures, serving as the Deputy Controlled Substances Officer and on various committees.

The selected candidate will also provide leadership and supervision to research office employees through hiring, coaching, training and evaluation.
