Professor of the Practice in Finance


The Wake Forest University School of Business is seeking qualified candidates for a Professor of the Practice in Finance (clinical position) starting Fall 2018. This individual will be expected to teach undergraduate Finance elective courses and should have significant investment banking or other work experience in financial services with Wall Street firms and/or similar financial institutions. This person will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of best-in-class career preparation courses in investment banking and other financial services-related career paths for students in the School of Business and College. He/she will establish close collaborations with employers, alumni, faculty colleagues, and career readiness staff members to ensure that our curriculum and other student preparation activities remain industry-relevant and leads to student hiring opportunities with top tier firms. He/she will serve as the faculty advisor to our student finance club. He/she will also partner with Advancement to develop and participate in funding support plans for all co-curricular investment careers preparation initiatives. Candidates should have a master’s degree (or higher) in Finance or a related field, plus a minimum of ten or more years’ relevant work experience. Evidence of prior, preferably university-level, teaching effectiveness is highly preferred. The position offers a highly competitive package of compensation and benefits.
