Off-Shift Systems Technician

Provide skilled repairs as first response to service calls of all building/utilities trades equipment and systems. Provide assessment of situation and make necessary repairs. Contact appropriate personnel if situation mandates different trades license or skill set. Perform preventative maintenance service for all building/utilities trades. Access information utilizing appropriate desktop applications. Promote a work place that encourages safety within the Shop and field. Operate University vehicle. This position reports to a Utilities Trades Supervisor/Zone Manager and requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High school diploma, Journey Plumbing or Journey Electrical license, and one year related building/utilities trades experience required. General computing skills required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain and driver's check required. Lifting of up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing specific job tasks.

Position is Tuesday thru Saturday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Weekend work required, Bargaining Unit Position - United Electrical Workers, Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, 2nd Shift (Shift differential applies.), 2nd and/or 3rd shift, 40 hour work week
Hiring Min (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE))
Payband Max (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE))
