************************WGU Internal applicants preferred***************

The Evaluation Supervisor is a member of WGU’s faculty who manages a team of Evaluators. Evaluators are professionals who provide quality feedback on performance task submissions. They hold academic credentials and professional experience in their respective fields that are pertinent to the courses they evaluate, and they are critical to each student’s journey toward graduation. Although their quality feedback is an essential part of the WGU student learning experience, these faculty members are much less visible to students and their interactions are restricted to the anonymous performance assessment environment. Our faculty model and the role of the Evaluator is outlined here:

The Evaluation Supervisor ensures team members craft personalized, robust feedback to support accurate scoring of student work. They use insights to provide guidance to other evaluation faculty members, program development, course mentoring and university leadership. The Evaluation Supervisor analyzes workflow, optimizes team resources, and manages evaluation performance to meet department goals including ensuring quick evaluation turnaround times.

An Evaluation Supervisor is tasked with developing calibration standards for courses and developing supporting training and tools such as course resource documents, team and evaluator training, and inter-rater agreement activities. They apply analytical tools and data analysis to drive improvements in evaluation team performance.

Evaluation Supervisors act as a coach and mentor to their team. Evaluation Supervisors provide critical on-boarding training, and ensure all team members comply with the Evaluation Department procedures. Evaluation Supervisors are responsible for individual and team coaching, and all aspects of personnel management. The Evaluation Supervisor ensures all faculty work effectively and report worktime accurately, in order to be good stewards of the student’s tuition dollars.

The Evaluation Supervisor may be called on to deal directly with student concerns about evaluation quality and accuracy, resolve differences in judgement between evaluation faculty and other university departments, and take action on ideas to improve student success. The Evaluation Supervisor is accountable for team performance toward the service level agreement to students.

Evaluation Supervisors must be well connected and coordinated within their team, the evaluation management, program development and any applicable cross-functional groups.

The Evaluation Supervisor for the MSN Leadership and Management Team must be an RN with unrestricted licensure and able to be licensed in multiple states. Applicants must have a Masters in Nursing and a related terminal degree. Proven people leader skills are required.
