Human Resources Specialist

Responsible for Facilities Management and Environmental Health & Safety workers compensation claim processing and for the management of the departmental Transitional Return to Work program (occupational and non-occupational injuries). Manages all non-work related leaves, coordinating both with the employee and supervisor or manager regarding leave eligibility, available time off, pay while on leave, and completion of required documentation. Coordinates with Central HR on all disability claims, ensures accurate pay both from the University and disability providers. Assists with the establishment of internal processes and controls for analyzing data and reporting specific program parameters for workers compensation claims, non-work related leaves, and Performance Evaluations. Tracks and manages the annual Performance Evaluations. Processes all personnel information into EDB and audits for accuracy. Analyses compensation for compression and equity studies. Researches employee and labor relations issues within the departments. Assists in creating job descriptions and coordinates with Central HR on classification and compensation requests.

Salary: Range $59,623.00 - $61,230.00
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Must have a valid CA Driver's license and participate in the UCI DMV Pull--notice program. Must be able to wear required PPE. Must be able to work outside regular work shift.
Final candidate subject to background check.
