Laboratory Assistant II


Assist in animal care and welfare daily according to provided protocols. Assist in exposing animals in laboratory or field studies at various sites. Assist with performing bioassay under supervision of a study investigator. Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Life Science or equivalent combination of education and experience; skill in handling and treating small laboratory animals; knowledge of procedures for handling toxic chemicals and ability to accurately maintain clear
laboratory notebooks and records.

Salary: Hourly $17.72 - $18.75
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Variable work hours - i.e. ten hour work days could be required for field exposures.
Exposure personnel may need to begin loading animals at 6:30 a.m.
Available for a short time on some weekends & holidays for animal care.
Final candidate subject to background check.
As a federal contractor, UC Irvine is required to use E-Verify to confirm the work status of individuals assigned to perform substantial work under certain federal contracts/subcontracts.
