Engineering Laboratory Lecturer

The Department of Engineering at Swarthmore College anticipates filling the position of Engineering Laboratory Lecturer beginning in September, 2018. Responsibilities include (1) helping to build and troubleshoot instrumentation for labs associated with undergraduate courses taught by faculty, (2) setting up and otherwise preparing for laboratories, (3) teaching the laboratory sessions of those courses, (4) grading lab reports of students, and (5) working with faculty in the development of new experiments. This nine month, academic year position has the possibility of some additional employment during the summer for development work. The position is renewable upon successful review.

A bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field is required, and both a master's degree, as well as experience teaching undergraduates, are preferred.
