Job description

Duties: The Huh Lab in the Department of Bioengineering at Penn Engineering is seeking a full time research specialist to provide research and technical support to members of the Group on microfabrication and instrumentation projects. The incumbent will utilize knowledge of microfabrication and microfluidics to participate in highly varied interdisciplinary research projects at the interface of material science, human microphysiological systems, micro/nanofabrication, and automation robotics to produce high-impact research. Major responsibilities include microfabrication of polymeric molds used for building elastomeric cell culture devices and instrumentation of cell culture devices for various types of human cells used in organ models developed by the Huh Lab.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in microfluidics and microfabrication are required. Hands-on experience in microfluidic cell culture is preferred
