Drs. Amanda-Jensen-Doss and Jill Ehrenreich-May, faculty members at the University of Miami’s College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology, are seeking a new post-baccalaureate Research Support Coordinator to support an NIMH-funded research study examining the effectiveness of two evidence-based interventions for adolescent anxiety and depression in community mental health clinics. Responsibilities will primarily center on recruiting adolescents with anxiety and depression for the trial, screening them for study eligibility, and project coordination tasks. Administering assessments, managing undergraduate research assistants, overseeing of IRB submissions and updates, and assisting with publication preparation. Opportunities abound for a talented student with interest in a research career to enhance their training through additional presentation and publication experiences in our labs. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of motivation and well-developed organizational abilities. Candidates who are fluent Spanish speakers are strongly preferred.
• Bachelor degree in psychology, neuroscience or related field required.
• One to two years of experience in a psychology research position or similar unpaid research experience as an undergraduate student.
• The position would begin June or July 2018, and would require a one-year commitment.
