UHealth Connect at Medley has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Access Representative. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the registration of patients to the clinics based on multiple types of services; prioritizing registrations, as appropriate. Performs all patient access registration related functions promptly without compromising patient safety, quality, service levels, and reimbursement. Informs patients or their representatives of financial requirements, collecting when necessary according to established guidelines and financial policy for both POS 11, 22 multi-specialty clinics and hospital departments across the UHealth System. Performs other duties as assigned.




Minimum requirements are High School Diploma, Bachelor's preferred and one (1) year of experience in a healthcare or customer service related setting preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University Of Miami School Of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination. Failure to meet this requirement will result in rescinding or termination of employment.
