Position Summary: Under the direction of the Reimbursement Director, provides ongoing government reporting and analytic services in support of the University of California Irvine, Medical Center's strategic missions. Charged with providing analytic services and consulting expertise to all levels of management. The position requires basic Medicare/Medi-Cal reimbursement experience, financial analysis, technical skills, creativity, organizational and project management ability. Coordinates all Federal and State cost reporting activities to ensure that the Medical Center receives maximum reimbursement consistent with Federal and State regulations. Responsible for third party contractual allowance and prior year settlement schedules. Represents the Medical Center to state and federal agencies, prepares appeals and negotiates settlements for governmental audit disputes. Must possess leadership and professionalism in dealing with all customers, internal and external to the Medical Center. Incumbent is a Medical Center liaison with agencies representing Medicare, Medi-Cal, Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development and CHAMPUS/Tricare.
Rate Minimum $57,400.00 Maximum $97,300.00

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other Healthcare related degreeStrong analytical skills and the ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations
