Position Summary: Incumbent serves as a resource for the benefits, workers' compensation and disability management related functions for the Medical Center. The incumbent manages leaves and provides guidance to employees, managers, and HR professionals and others on leave policy interpretation and administration while effectively resolving issues through resolution. The incumbent provides health, welfare, and retirement benefit information, serving as a liaison between insurance carriers, TPA's and employees. Incumbent performs specialized administrative and organizational support to the team.

Required Qualifications:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadBachelors' degree in relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrated ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet and professional mannerDemonstrated advanced computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft OfficeExcellent organizational skills, flexibility and composure to coordinate multiple assignments/projects simultaneously with efficiency and timelinessExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishKnowledge of and ability to analyze, interpret and apply insurance regulations, plan documents and federal and state laws including Family Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disability Act.Minimum of two years' administrative analysis work experienceMinimum one year recent experience in the administration of health and welfare benefits and worker's compensationMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a hospital or healthcare settingHuman Resources experienceKnowledge of the University of California's health and welfare and retirement plansPrevious experience in Workers' Compensation or a closely related field such as a third party administrator/carrier
