Under the guidance of a faculty advisory committee, the associate provost, and the university's strategic plan, the coordinator will manage professional development opportunities for faculty, including planning, developing, implementing, marketing, and assessing activities and programs.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
Bachelor's degree

Knowledge of instructional design and learning theory

Experience with a variety of training tools and techniques

Evidence of project management skills

Post-college and full-time experience in business, human resources, education, or a closely related field

Preferred Qualifications
Master's or doctoral degree

Knowledge of faculty roles and responsibilities

Experience in a large university or organizational setting

At least three years of post-college and full-time experience in business, human resources, education, or a closely related field

Job Description
Under the guidance of a faculty advisory committee, the associate provost, and the university's strategic plan, the coordinator will manage professional development opportunities for faculty, including planning, developing, implementing, marketing, and assessing activities and programs.

Job Duties
In collaboration with others, develop, coordinate, and implement faculty development programs that meet the needs of Texas State University.

Implement an assessment plan for understanding faculty development needs and evaluating programs.

Coordinate marketing and outreach activities, including the department website and communications.

Oversee and manage the department budget.

Maintain currency and competency in the field of faculty/professional development.
