We provide a strong, active, and tailored liberal arts education through small class sizes and intentional relationships between students and their faculty mentors.

Located in a community of 120,000 with three other universities in town, and a short two-hour drive west of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we support purposeful and practical academic experiences in and out of the classroom that leverage this location as students pursue personal, intellectual and professional growth.

This new hire will support the university’s commitment to internationalization, and play an active role in expanding the department’s globally-recognized and award-winning Model United Nations Program, which provides students with immersive, experiential role-playing and diplomacy simulations.

The ideal candidate is a Comparativist. Area of specialization is open. The ideal candidate will be able to teach a range of introductory courses, including Intro to Politics, and upper-level Comparativist seminars. The candidate may be asked to offer Modern Political Theory on a two-year rotating cycle. Previous work with Model UN or other experiential learning initiatives are considered an asset. Typical teaching load is 4/4 (24 semester hours a year) with opportunities to teach travel classes in the fall and spring semesters. Broader service to the department, such as advising, is also required.
