Job Summary


This position provides advanced administrative level support to areas of operation, programs, student services and other related areas of Continuing Education. This is a temporary grant-funded position.


Duties & Responsibilities


•Researches and resolves student issues
•Assists students in the course registration process
•Maintains correspondence and supplies, including contracts
•Assists and prepares budget reports and reimbursements
•Handles confidential information
•Prepares payroll for part-time and full-time staff ,as needed
•Prepares department requisitions, disbursements, and duplication requests
•Assists the manager or coordinator with term class schedule, evaluations and contracts
•Assists in overseeing and solving day-to-day office and administrative issues
•Attends educational fairs, information sessions and community events as needed
•Assists with the hiring process of personnel as needed
•Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements


•Associate's Degree and one (1) year of experience in clerical work; including or supplemented
by college courses in business practices; or High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a
regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in clerical work; including or
supplemented by college courses in business practices; or any equivalent combination of
experience and training
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
•Ability to work independently, resolve problems and make decisions
•Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written)
•Ability to perform multiple tasks and organize priorities
•Ability to deal with students, staff and the general public with tact, poise, patience and courtesy
•Possess highly organized and detail-oriented skills
•Ability to assess and resolve problems for students and instructors
•Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
•Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment with students, faculty, and staff
