Workforce Coordinator (Business and Career Technologies)
The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of workforce training and courses that meet the changing needs of our students, community and businesses.
Assist in identifying the learning needs of adults for continuing and professional education programs, certification or re-certification, and skills needed for individuals migrating into new careers by being aware of local, regional, and national workforce trends.
In collaboration with deans and other administrators, develop workforce education programs and courses to meet the needs of employers and area industry.
Assist in the preparation of the noncredit and credit course schedule to avoid conflicts and/or duplication. Determine classes to be offered, times, locations, resources and instructors. Coordinate with Marketing and Communication to promote programming.
Develop and maintain relationships with other divisions of the College, and with relevant external strategic partners, such as local employers, organizations, and business associations to guide the development of workforce education programs.
Assist the sales staff with content resources and proposal development to support customized training for local companies.
Research, design, coordinate, and evaluate classes within the discipline areas assigned.
Research and establish necessary credentials to provide Continuing Education Units (CEU's) to participants in courses.
Interview and screen applicants for appropriate placement in specific programs.
Prepare, analyze and evaluate program data for future programming direction. Provide information to assist the Dean in the division budgetary process.
Serve as College and program advocate in the community.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
Three years of experience in developing and marketing training programs for adults in a workplace setting, including oversight of training delivery, environmental scanning or research for training needs, and/or project management experience is required.
Working knowledge of the assigned program area(s) is desirable.
Experience programming classes and/or special events desirable.
Excellent computer competency skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational skills including attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively with various levels of professionals.
An understanding of lifelong learning and the adult learner.
