Job Description

Duties include teaching individual applied lessons to undergraduate and graduate music majors, leading a weekly studio class, and vocal classes as needed (pedagogy, diction, etc). The successful candidate will fully participate in voice-area responsibilities and provide service to the School and the University, in keeping with expectations for faculty at the assistant teaching professor rank.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include an MM in vocal performance and evidence of successful voice teaching at an advanced level. Experience beyond the master's degree is desired, such as progress toward completion of the DMA in vocal performance, or professional performing experience as a vocal soloist. The candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to working with a student population that is broadly diverse with regard to gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, and sexual orientation.
