Job Description Summary:

The Web Editor, Digital Content for the Milken Institute School of Public Health will oversee and implement updates made to the content of the school's web properties, and the properties associated with chartered and non-chartered centers. This position will report to the Director of Communications.

Responsibilities Include:
• Working with members of the Communications Team to ensure that content on the website is up to date and reflects the school's overall mission, vision and objectives.
• Cultivating and maintaining relationships with content editors from different educational and administrative departments to ensure they are properly trained and capable of updating the content on their specific pages.
• Monitoring web content posted to the website and enforce internal policy and procedure surrounding content on our web properties.
• Working with members of the faculty to identify web needs for microsites as needed. Overseeing the construction of and curation/creation of content for these new web properties.
• Ensuring that the content on our web properties are 508 compliant, free of spelling and grammatical errors and links are all working.
• Ensuring that all content, both existing and new, are produced and published with a mind to SEO best practices.
• Contributing to major website developments to push the user experience forward to achieve the school's objectives.
• Analyzing web data and trends to make necessary recommendations for upgrades to web properties.
• Staying on top of industry and web best practices to help inform decisions to web properties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of professional Experience with CMS such as Drupal or Wordpress.
• Experience with Google Analytics and Google AdWords is strongly preferred.
• Experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with wireframes, mockups and other web development materials.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• The ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
• Self-motivated, self-starter with exceptional oral and written skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Proactive and works well independently and as part of a team.
• Works well in high-volume deadline situations and can juggle multiple assignments.
