Job description

Duties: PROJECT PLANNING: Evaluate need, develop space programs/space plans, confirm feasibility with cost implications of proposed Provost Center initiatives.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Represent interest of Provost Center in planning, design, and construction projects. Act as primary contact for capital and non-capital projects in design and construction phases. Coordinate project activities with appropriate Provost Center, university, end user, consultant, and contractor representatives. Monitor and track schedule, program, and other related key milestones for all projects.
Prepare and distribute project status reports. Develop and distribute planning checklists and materials to facilitate timely input from all project participants. Plan for and coordinate occupancy of completed projects.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education required with seven to ten years of relevant work experience preferably in a medical school or academic environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills, good managerial and people skills, accurate and precise, organized, willing to follow procedures/regimen, familiar with database software packages, CAD/CAFM systems, and with basic building infrastructure systems and space planning.
