Duties: This position reports to the Director of Clinical Research Operations for the Abramson Cancer Center (ACC) Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and is responsible for providing professional administrative coordination and support for the Director of Clinical Research Operations, the Medical Director of the CRU, and the Associate Directors of the CRU. The position requires tact, diplomacy, and discretion on a wide variety of complex and sensitive issues. While performing these duties, this person will demonstrate professionalism in a rapidly changing, time pressured environment. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, providing administrative support, coordinating all the aspects of organizing and coordinating complex schedules, and planning special functions. This position will represent the Central CRU in its communications with our Research Teams, responding to informational requests and coordinating information among the Central CRU and the Research Teams. The position is responsible for coordinating Central CRU calendars, coordinating administrative updates within the CRU SharePoint site, and other applicable CRU communication programs, as well as undertaking special projects as assigned. The candidate must exercise judgment and creativity in prioritizing daily work functions, maintaining compliance with regulations and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. College degree or coursework a plus. Experience working in a clinical research environment or academic medical setting preferred. The candidate must exercise judgment and creativity in prioritizing daily work functions maintaining compliance with regulations and patient confidentiality. Must exercise tact, diplomacy, and discretion. Must possess good interpersonal and customer service skills and have the ability to communicate effectively. Must have good organizational and writing skills. Must be able to work autonomously and in a team environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft programs.
