Job description

The UK HealthCare Office of Philanthropy seeks a Marketing Communication and Engagement Manager/UKHC. The Marketing Communication and Engagement Manager will create and implement an enterprise-wide philanthropy communication plan that enhances the outreach efforts of the department; including web-based communications, direct mail, constituent outreach, and internal communication efforts. The position will work in collaboration with UKHC Marketing, oversee and direct the development of strategic philanthropic communications in multiple mediums including but not limited to social media, video, event materials, and fundraising collateral. The Marketing Communication and Engagement Manager will develop and implement high-level strategic marketing plans for UK HealthCare service lines as assigned by the Strategic Marketing Director and Senior Manager of Philanthropy. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Philanthropy for UK HealthCare Hospitals and Clinics.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and over 50lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); and intermittent job travel (10%-50% of the time).


Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with occasional evening and weekends per business needs.


The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in all Microsoft programs as well as most CMS platforms; extensive project management experience in publication, video, events, programming, and most forms of communication; have the ability to lead others, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; demonstrates strong analytical and qualitative research experience; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); strong ability to engage and motivate others; active listening skills; enjoy working independently as well as in a group; and a thorough understanding of employee and budget management.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master's Degree in marketing/communications and experience working with c-level executives preferred. Communication, Internal Strategic Communication, Journalism, English degrees applicable.
