This position will coordinate and maintain the processing, data entry, and retention of HR/Payroll documentation using the employee database and document retention systems. This position will maintain compliance with all Federal and State agencies while overseeing the data entry of all changes processed via PAR for UWG. This position will assist with running standard, routinely scheduled reporting for university stakeholders using the One USGsystem. This position will perform a variety of HR and payroll administrative and receptionist duties as well as be responsible for open records. employment verification, and MVR requests.
High School Diploma or GED and 4 or more years of experience in an Administrative/clerical position. Two – four years of experience in the use of computerized information systems to include Microsoft Office suite. Must effectively apply critical thinking skills when resolving system-related issues and applying process to non-routine transactions. Must have exceptional customer service skills, be deadline oriented with the ability to make sound, informed decisions. Must have organizational and planning skills and be able to communicate effectively (oral and written). Ability to perform in a team environment.
Associates degree or Bachelors degree and 1 year or more experience in a human resources and payroll environment. Preference given to candidates with direct experience in HR records and document management. Preference given to candidates with direct experience in HR records and document management.
Salary $14.48 (hrly) minimum - $17.85 midpoint (hrly) Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs when needed.
