The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Virginia seeks an Exercise and Sports Injury Clinical Coordinator. The Coordinator works closely with study subjects and other research staff to perform a variety of clinical activities in the Exercise and Sports Injury lab with an emphasis on sport-related concussions. The incumbent assists with study organization, coordination, data collection, administration of clinical measures, document preparation, record keeping, and review of prospective research participants. The Coordinator is focused on the long term goals of the clinical research and trial process.
A Bachelor's degree is required and Master's Degree is preferred. At least one year of applicable experience in a clinical or research environment is required. The ability to work independently and accurately with attention to details is essential. The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality and have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The ability to follow set laboratory policies and procedures, adhere to regulatory guidelines in daily work and demonstrate good judgement for data score is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical research, and the specific study subject matter is required. Preference will be given to applicants with a CPR/AED or are Board Certified Athletic Trainers.
