ANNUAL (12 months)
Degree and Area of Specialization:
-MD/DO Psychiatrist or PhD Clinical Psychologist
-MD/DO requires board certification or board eligibility in Adult or Child Psychiatry, with a firm plan to complete certification (board eligible candidates) or PhD in clinical psychology requires certification in the field and licensure to practice clinical psychology in Wisconsin.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
-MD/DOs should have successful completion of residency in Psychiatry.
-PhDs should have successful completion of training in relevant field of study.
At least one year of clinical experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders preferred.
-Candidates for clinical associate professor or clinical professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Clinician-Teacher track.
License or certificate:
-Wisconsin Medical License obtained by start date.
-DEA certifications obtained by start date.
-Credentialed with UW Health managed care plans, credentialing and staff privileges at UW Hospital, UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital, and VA Middleton must be completed by start date.
This position will primarily provide psychiatry care to a variety of pediatric outpatient care with some coverage of adult outpatient care. This position will also supervise and mentor residents/fellows/trainees.
