Corporate Sales Manager

Job description

The position of the Corporate Sales Manager is to drive business development in and around the Waubonsee Community College district. The Corporate Sales Manager has responsibility for the performance of all outside and corporate sales activities, directing two corporate account representatives to achieve profitability and growth in line with the Waubonsee Community College mission, vision, and values. The Corporate Sales Manager will also be expected to carry a light load of clients, working in concert with the representatives to support the sales goals for the department. This position reports to the Vice President of Strategic Development.

Work with the Vice President of Strategic Development and Executive Director of Marketing and Communications to develop sales targets to increase market share within the district.

Manage account representatives to meet weekly, monthly, semester, and yearly targets for inquiries, new accounts, and revenue.

Plan, promote, and execute selling events and commercial partnership events to drive revenue growth.

Deliver sales presentations to key personnel at various organizations, describing Waubonsee corporate offerings in more detail.

Establish and maintain contacts with various company employees, prospective customers, and prospects within the district.

Identify growth opportunities, in partnership with the Vice President of Strategic Development and other key internal stakeholders, in targeted areas and derive solutions for revenue generation.

Manage and support external constituent relationships; chambers, economic development, and other similar

Guide and manage the Operation Specialists to provide support services to the Account Representatives.

Develop and maintain relationships across the College and with external strategic partners to guide the development and promotion of Workforce Development services and business solutions.

Collaborate with the Vice President of Strategic development to outline a yearly growth strategy for the district.

Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business or a related field is required.

A minimum of five years of outside sales experience is required, preferably in a business, industrial, or educational setting.

Two years of supervisory or project management experience required.

Extensive experience in developing, delivering, evaluating, and selling training is required.

Demonstrated success and familiarity with meeting sales targets and expectations is required.

Ability to lead and manage a team of sales representatives to meet departmental sales and revenue goals is required.

Experience and proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications required.

Excellent time, project, and human resource management skills are required.

Ability to apply problem solving and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced team environment is essential.

Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, presenting and writing) are required.

Excellent negotiation skills are desirable.
