Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry

Job description

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Juniata College invites applications for a two-year visiting professor position to begin in August 2018. The successful candidate will contribute primarily to the teaching of our introductory chemistry coursework and laboratories (Integrated Chemistry, Principles), although other teaching opportunities may be available depending upon a candidate's specialization and teaching experience. Candidates are also encouraged to engage in research with undergraduates. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field, and have a deep commitment to teaching and student engagement at the undergraduate level. Applicants with expertise in organic chemistry, biochemistry, and/or physical chemistry are preferred.
