Responsibilities

Position is responsible for providing technical support for desktop solutions in the Office of Admissions and Records to include set-up, configuration, troubleshooting, printer support, and all aspects of desktop computing solutions. Coordinating and maintaining computer services and solutions for the Office of Admissions and Records with regards to desktop computing services. Responsibilities also include, management of all desktop computers, laptops and desktop printers, network printers, production printers and other peripherals. Works with users to troubleshoot computing errors and bugs on office computers. Qualified candidate will need to diagnose issues and perform solutions,works with users to improve computing environment. Make recommendations to users to improve the performance of their computers and guards them against illegal activity of the computers.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent and two years experience, or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years is required for consideration. Experience should be relevant and related to the responsibilities of the job. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Qualified candidates will have experience using a variety of computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office and Windows 10.

Preferred

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of experience related to the responsibilities of the job are preferred. We seek energetic candidates who are detail-oriented, and who work well independently as well as in a team. Candidates should have the ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments. Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and should possess a strong sense of initiative while managing multiple responsibilities concurrently. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Anticipated Salary Range

Mid to high $20,000's.

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
