Assistant/Associate Professor, Adult, Family & Population Health
This position is accountable to the Dean of the College of Nursing through the direct supervision of the Department Chair and is expected to participate in teaching, scholarly activities, and service commensurate with criteria for faculty rank.
Full-time 12-month appointments that require teaching, scholarship, and service. MSN and Doctorate degree in Nursing or closely related field required. Must be eligible for RN licensure in Ohio. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience as a registered nurse.
The qualified candidate will maintain a teaching assignment in the area of expertise. The role will include meeting all instructional requirements, including class and clinical scheduling, clinical site visits, preparing for class/clinical, evaluating assignments, assessing student learning outcomes and program evaluation. Advising students on professional and/or course related matters. Participating in curriculum development including designing, reviewing, and revising courses and programs. Chairing and/or serving on student capstone or final project committees, if applicable. The role may also entail supervising clinical mentors, clinical preceptors, teaching assistants, and clinical associates according to approval and accrediting agencies.
