Summary of Opportunity

The Department of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) is seeking hospitalists who have interest and or experience in inpatient cardiovascular care.  The Heart and Vascular Pavilion Hospitalist (HVPH) will direct the care of cardiovascular patients on the THVI Cardiac Pavilion, in consultation with general and subspecialty cardiologists.  Responsibilities include medical management of cardiac and non-cardiac conditions, admission and discharge management, adherence to CMMS Core Measure’s on THVI inpatients, coordinating safe care transitions including communication with referral physicians, and completion of the medical record.  Opportunities exist for research collaboration with THVI cardiologists, and performance improvement work in development of cardiovascular care pathways.

 

Candidates must possess an M.D, D.O, or M.D. /Ph.D., board eligibility/certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine, medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at the minimum level of Assistant Professor is required.
