The Housing Operations Coordinator ( HOC ) is a live-in graduate staff member that assists with the overall management of campus operations in order to support the holistic development of students in a Catholic liberal arts tradition.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Support of the StarRez Housing Management software system

- Support of residential facilities maintenance, ID and parking support

- Dining liaison

- Support of departmental website and social media sites

- Crisis On-call support as part of the primary duty rotation.

The HOC will maintain twenty office hours per week during normal business hours.

This is a graduate level, ten month academic year appointment with the option of extending to twelve month depending on departmental need.

This position begins August 1 and concludes the last day in May.

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S) from a four year college or university.

- A desire to work with college students and assist with their growth and development is a must.

- The ability to work in a team setting as well as independently with autonomy is needed.

- A successful candidate will live out the values of integrity, trust and honesty.

- As part of this position, university housing is provided. Therefore, the HOC will live on campus in his/her provided housing. Our HOC position does not accommodate for the ability to share his/her living space with a roommate, partner or spouse

Skills and/or Abilities:
- Experience with advising student organizations, working on campus, social media, and effective oral and written communication skills are required.

- Excellent organizational skills as well as attention to detail.

- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those candidates engaged in a higher education Master's program including: college student personnel or higher education administration.

1-2 years experience with managing and developing data management systems

Enrollment in a Master's degree program, either at Marymount University or a local accredited university or college.

Responsibility / Duty

Technology Support (40%)
• Provide support in the operation of the StarRez Housing Management software system. This may include but not limited to: updating system information, data audits, system testing and training other staff on the system.
• Provide support in maintaining departmental webpages to ensure accurate and timely information are posted on all web pages. This can include but not limited to: updating of information, creation of new pages, creation of informational/instructional videos, etc.
• Provide support in the creation of and updating of social media sites for the department as a way to increase communication with students, faculty and staff who utilize departmental services.

Responsibility / Duty

Facilities Management (25%)
• Assist in the administration of maintenance requests and ensuring work is getting done.
• Participate in facility walks.
• Assist in the coordination of inventories of departmental assets.
• Perform clerical functions including data entry, filing, and organization of paperwork.
• Assist as needed with damage tracking, billing and damage appeals.

Responsibility / Duty

Departmental Support (20%)
• Support the mission, goals, projects, and activities of Marymount University, the Division of Student Development, and the Office of Campus and Residential Services.
• Support and assist Campus and Residential Services in the consistent implementation of residential policies.
• Provide on-duty/on-call support and assistance as part of primary duty rotation.
• Work collaboratively with collateral departmental assignments such as staff training, staff selection, departmental staff development, departmental programming, academic initiatives, Admissions Office recruitment events, etc.
• Participate in, help coordinate and lead ongoing professional and student staff training sessions including Fall and Spring opening trainings as well as on-going in-services.
• Act as a positive role model for resident students and the larger university community.
• Be able to hold consistent regular office hours during official university business hours.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Responsibility / Duty

Dining/Access/ID Liaison (15%)
• Provide support to ID and Access office as needed and appropriate.
• Provide support to Dining initiatives as needed and appropriate.
• Attend committee meetings and/or convene meetings as needed.
• Support staff in assisting with access and door security system issues
