RESEARCH SPECIALIST B
Duties: The Research Specialist B assists the Principal Investigator, postdocs, fellows and students with studies of ongoing projects. The focus of the lab is respiratory innate immunity and epithelial biology. To that end, the main responsibility of the Research Specialist B will be to maintain primary human respiratory epithelial cultures. The position requires prior experience of cell culture, molecular biology, including DNA, RNA, and protein work (western blots) as well as immunohistochemistry / immunofluoresence. The secondary responsibilities will be lab organization including ordering supplies and reagents and maintaining the chemical inventory. Rudimentary ability to evaluate experimental results and plan subsequent experiments is expected. Currently, there is minimal animal work/procedures.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
