Advertised Job Summary: The Assistant Academic Director will implement and manage the International Accelerator Program (IAP) for international students. This program combines English language instruction and support with academic instruction and acculturation. Reporting to the Academic Director of the IAP, with dotted-line reporting to the Managing Director and the University Academic Chair, the Assistant Academic Director is responsible for working with the university's administrators, academic support staff, and faculty members, and for organizing effective student support in areas of English for academic purposes, tutorials, and progression through the program. The primary responsibility of this individual is to ensure the delivery of a high-quality academic experience for all students in the IAP. The Assistant Academic Director works with the University Academic Chair, Academic Director, and appropriate university entities to ensure the quality of this specialized academic program, and provides attention and guidance to program students. The successful candidate is a skilled academic manager who can successfully implement IAP English- language, academic curricula, and support services for international students. The primary responsibility of this individual is to ensure the delivery of a high-quality academic experience for all students in the IAP. The Assistant Academic Director works with the University Academic Chair, Academic Director, and appropriate university entities to ensure the quality of this specialized academic program, and provides attention and guidance to program students. The Assistant Academic Director possesses the interpersonal skills to work closely with a range of administrators, students, and faculty. The Assistant Academic Director is also a strong team player, who participates in both academic and student services initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Master's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in language school management, TEFL/TESOL, or related field.
