Advertised Job Summary: The University of South Carolina - Division of Law Enforcement and Safety is seeking candidates for the position of Records Analyst II. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, with preferred experience in data entry, records management, or office administration. This position works in the Administrative Services Section of the Administration Bureau of the USC Division of Law Enforcement and Safety (DLES). Serves as a Criminal Records Analyst and assists with general administrative duties. Under general supervision of the Senior Records Analyst, performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of DLES such as documenting, processing, maintaining, and controlling police records, case files, incident reports, uniform traffic tickets, warnings, field information cards, student disciplines, and other related information. The Records Analyst works directly with the public, DLES personnel, and other law enforcement personnel to record, file, retrieve, and assimilate a variety of data related to the effective functioning of DLES. This position also assists Administrative Services with other duties in support of DLES as a whole.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree; or high school diploma and 4 years experience in records management, information systems, or office administration.
