Art Education and Crafts Temporary Faculty Position

Job description

The Department of Art Education and Crafts at Kutztown University invites applications for a full-time and/or part-time temporary positions.  Primary duties will be teaching Two Dimensional Design and may include Three Dimensional Design and/or courses for non-majors, to begin in the Fall of 2018.  In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service.  Required: MFA, three years of teaching experience or equivalent, a successful lecture/presentation of both professional work and teaching, and an interview.  All applicants must demonstrate a professional understanding of contemporary concepts in art, craft, and design as well as a working knowledge of digital platforms.  Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an affinity for an a commitment to working with freshman and sophomore visual arts students.
