Posting Summary:
The Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia seeks a Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management to serve a key role on the Curry leadership team. The Director provides leadership and oversight for a range of duties related to enrolling high-achieving, passionate, and diverse students in Curry's programs. The incumbent supervises staff in the Curry Student Services and Admissions Office and oversees the graduate admissions and undergraduate internal transfer processes.

Graduate admission responsibilities include: planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring evaluation activities related to admissions and enrollment in the Curry School. The incumbent also provides direction, support, data management, data analysis, and accountability for these activities. The Director coordinates with the Central Graduate Admissions Office to ensure the graduate application for admission meets Curry's needs and the needs of its prospective students.

The Director provides guidance and training to office staff on issues related to tuition and fee rates, federal and departmental finance aid, Student Information System (SIS) use, and best practices in admissions and recruitment.

A Bachelor's degree is required as is at least six years of experience in a student admissions, recruitment, financial aid, or outreach position responsible for providing information to prospective and/or current students. At least two of these years should be in a supervisory role. Excellent communications skills are essential as is an extensive knowledge of multiple areas in student admissions, recruitment, financial aid, and outreach, with the ability to synthesize information, provide advice, and address needs independently. A proven ability to work independently and as part of a team is required, as is the ability to lead, train, and functionally supervise. The ability to collaborate with senior leaders to accomplish goals is essential. Advanced ability in navigating University databases and systems and portal sites and presenting information to University employees, faculty, and senior leaders is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs are required. A Master's degree is preferred as is at least 8 years of experience in positions with responsibilities in admissions, financial aid, recruitment, and outreach. Experience using PeopleSoft, Slate, and Drupal is preferred.

Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. Proven ability to clearly articulate and present specific information in multiple forums to a range of audiences and within event planning, scheduling, and web publishing duties.

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to lead, train, and functionally supervise. Collaborate with senior leaders to accomplish goals.
