Lecturers, Nontraditional PharmD Program

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking part-time lecturers for the Doctor of Pharmacy Degree program, Distance Delivery Pathways (North American Trained PharmD and Internationally Trained PharmD programs in the Distance Degrees and Programs Office, DDP). The school remains fully committed to helping meet the educational needs of experienced practitioners with baccalaureate pharmacy degrees. The DDP program is an innovative and thriving online degree program designed to meet this need. Approximately 200 pharmacists currently are enrolled in the program and applications remain strong. The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is nationally recognized for its leadership in pharmacy education and its strong commitment to developing and sustaining a diverse faculty, staff and student body. The school has recently moved in to a new state-of-the-art educational facility designed to foster interprofessional education and to support innovative distance delivery education initiatives; and three hospitals are located on the Anschutz Medical Campus to support and enhance clinical research and practice endeavors.

Primary responsibilities for this position include assisting pharmacists around Colorado, the US, Canada and the world who are enrolled in the DDP program. Responsibilities may include any of the following: coordinating courses and/or teaching in the DDP programs consistent with pharmacy practice experience; implementing and coordinating assessment processes for students in the DDP program; implementing and assessing redesign of DDP program curriculum in view of ACPE Standards and market forces; administering student services functions of the DDP program; monitoring student progress, addressing academic advancement issues and determining eligibility for graduation; and performing scholarly activities related to DDP programs and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Lecturer positions require a PharmD degree or a baccalaureate pharmacy degree with a masters or doctoral degree in a discipline relevant to the position requirements. Pharmacy practice residency or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
